Educational Philosophy Using Wisdom and Pattern Recognition to Engage the Student
Learning frameworks Aligning Students with Intellectual Challenges. I received my B.A. in Social Science from the University of California at Berkeley. I am currently working towards my Master's in Education, with a concentration in Social Studies, at the University of Redlands.
My philosophy is to provide quality education to all students while recognizing that all students learn differently. Learning should be fun, meaningful, and challenging for all students, regardless of their abilities. My aim is to provide the guidance and resources necessary to encourage learning, while simultaneously helping students have respect for those around them. Students will be given the opportunity to develop academically, physically, socially, and emotionally while learning the necessary skills to communicate effectively. This will be accomplished in a stimulating and challenging environment that maximizes every resource available.
The Classroom
Shared place of learning. Behavioral norms.
The time we spend together in class is the most enriching place to exchange ideas, actively listen, conflict creatively, and take a critical look into the world around us. The collective focus of the class is the wellspring of understanding and empathy. To maximize the time we spend together, here are suggestions to respect each other and nurture the joy of learning.
Class starts on time, we provide encouragement to each other during the class period. We employ active listening. We respect the thoughts and ideas of others. Critical thinking is fundamental to effectively understanding history.
